Red.

The gorgeous hue that adds class, luxury and glamour, to any look.
There will always be gorgeous new lipstick and nail ideas. But NOTHING can, or will, ever surpass the perfection of the classic, glossy, red on both lips, and nails.

You should always have at least one red lipstick in your make up bag, there will always be an occasion that calls for it.
Red lipsticks are an instant confidence booster, like a pair of heels, or a good hair day.
A bold slick of red rouge adds polish to any look, day or night.

How to own red lips.

The best lips run from glossy and perfectly lined, to slightly smudges, to strikingly matte.

Begin by tracing your pout with a liner that matches your lipstick. Lip liner creates an even and defined shape for your lips, whilst preventing the colour from fading away, when you have a drink or a bite to eat.

Next, apply the lipstick. Use the tip of the lipstick when applying to outer part of the lip, for precise application.
If you prefer blurred lines, and a conserved pout, apply the lipstick with your finger. Start in the center and work (smudge) out towards your lip line.

For Fair Skin
“Your skin is prone to redness, remember to create a flawless canvas with foundation and keep eye makeup to a minimum”, says national make-up artist for Elizabeth Arden, Stephen Gaskett, in a recent interview with In Style.
TIP: Fair skin has cool undertones. So search for hues with a blue-red base, to lighten your completion.

For Olive Skin

“Orange reds will compliment your skin tone, while reds will give you a confident look”, says Stephen.
TIP: Warm up your base with a dusting of bronzer and go for strong brows. It will anchor your bold pout.

For Dark Skin

“Darker skin tones generally suit all reds, but if you veer towards the darker end of the spectrum, rich variation’s will pop against your complexion”, explains Stephen.
TIP: Neutral eye shadow and a hint of mascara will give this look a modern edge.
