From caramel manicures
at Narciso Rodriguez to the extravagant eyebrow rings at Rodarte – NYFW never
fails to impress me.
Marc Jacobs
bought us a completely different experience this year. Although the term “no-make
up” isn’t something we haven’t all heard before, he and Francis Nars decided to
take it to a whole new level and have the models strut the runway with
literally no make-up. Backstage, Nars declared that this look was all about encouraging
“skin care” – the models only wore moisturiser.

I
really appreciate the fact that makeup is becoming minimal on the runway
and hair stylists are focusing on natural/tousled waves. They are presenting us
with the most divine spring trends that we can
all achieve with ease - not to mention they allow us to sleep in
for that extra 30 minutes every morning!
